The new Xiaomi Mi Band 8 is here, and just barely a week in the market, the wearable got its first over the air update. Its old version, has been updated with 1.1.122, and with the new version comes with new added support as well as optimization for the fitness tracker.   6. Optimize the display and guidance of health functions
  7. New energy value accumulated to reach the standard reminder
  8. Fix other known problems

Xiaomi recommends to upgrade to the latest version to have much better experience with the band, more stable as well and with longer device life. Although based on our experienced the update was very fast, and it only took a few minutes. We still recommend that you charge your fitness tracker first to at least more than 90% battery life to avoid any issues with the disconnection, of fitness tracker due to low battery life.
