Why is Error Code 0003080F Happening? – Need for Speed Inventory Sync Problem

You are playing your Need for Speed game and suddenly an error occurred halting you in the middle of the game.  “Error Code: 0003080F”. The error has already been reported by games in the EA forum and seems like there is no definite answer yet for what is causing the error. The problem prevents users from playing with other users, or having a syn issue.  Twitter is also flooded with tweets regarding the error code,

  1. Synchronization Failed
  2. It’s happening on different platforms, whether its PS4, XBOX, Windows PC.
  3. You can’t play with other games, but are still able to play solo
  4. Restarting/logging in and out or reinstalling the game will not solve the issue
  5. Players reported lost of inventory after an error code appeared

What is causing the Error 0003080F?

The error is not isolated to a few players only but seems like a substantial number of players are experiencing the error. According to the report, the problem has nothing to do with the users’ side but more on the side of Need for Speed, a possible server error, as players experienced Synchronization Failure.

Warnings to Users: Players are advised not to purchase any time until the issue has been resolved. As the error code states that there is a problem with synchronization. Items and other inventory may not appear. Your local inventory will not match your other inventory.

We check on downdetector.com, and there is a huge spike on the server error for the past 24 hours. Although there are other errors that occurs, the 0003080F is the error that is dominating the issue.

EA Technical support is already aware of the issue, several games have already reported the problem. And according to technical support, they are addressing the issue and looking for a fix.

Other sync error ode reported previously by players are 000C080F/400100000 with similar issues on item synchronization. But the 001C080F has already had a fix for it. It is possible that it is a similar problem, where players found out that playing SOLO for a long time, and less online the error occurs. Is it the same issue, with the same solution?
